The Challenge

To be or not to be.

Metro Arts needed an overhaul to their arts brand so that their identity didn’t overshadow the artists they represent. We had to use a strategic approach with a focus on balance and visual hierarchy, while considering both the Metro Arts brand itself and their artists.

The Solution

Complimentary, but bold.

Their alley location became the inspiration for the overall direction, with a simplified logo and a brick pattern that could be used to display their artist’s work as well as frame it. The dynamic and bold colour palette was carefully chosen to easily be used in conjunction with a range of arts projects. The roll-out included a comprehensive brand style guide, pattern usage, typography guides, brochures and social media templates.
